What is Music On Hold?

Have you ever been on hold and heard those wonderful sales pitches, music, and helpful hints and tricks that you have already tried? That's what Music On Hold is. It is a place where you can stick all those files you want to play to your customers while they wait

Adding New Files to Music On Hold

When you add new sound clips to Music on hold you need to make sure that they are 16bit 8khz/16khz Mono WAV files. Which can be created either in the freely available Audacity, or in the Windows Sound Recorder.

Note: MP3 files work as well, you just have to make sure to enable the "Mod_Shout" module in the modules menu.

After you have your sound clip edited the way you like and saved go to the Music On hold Menu option, Located at: Voice->Features->Music On Hold. There you will click on the "Browse button just to the left of the "File to Upload" box. Circled in the picture below.
